Specifically, the US government added the company because it facilitates high-technology surveillance targeted at the general population, Uyghurs, and other ethnic and religious minority groups. The term Uyghurs is similar to the Muslim faith. With global human rights organizations alleging millions of Chinese Muslims detained by virtue of simply being Muslim and forced into slave labor and other abuses.
