Installers Dream Come True
The EPIC Rip and Replace of Dahua and Hikvision products
I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice. This is business planning and strategy to first of all help consumers replace Dahua and Hikvision at potentially no cost to them, and second? For installers not caught up in this Dahua/Hikvision disaster to have a VERY BIG YEAR.
Step 1. Read the court filing
Download and read this AG's court filing. His staff of 20 plus lawyers give us confidence he KNOWS the law. Fraud alleged. Deception by Omission. Violating the Consumer Protection Act and The Uniform Deceptive Selling Practices Act. Every state has similar laws. Mighty Texas AG also piling on. All 50 states likely to join.
Step 2. Find Dahua or Hikvision installations
ANYWHERE you see Dahua or Hikvision CCTV installed at a business? That includes white labeled or unbranded Dahua or Hikvision made products. You don't need to sell them. The AG and his staff already did the work. Simply hand that business a copy of the lawsuit/court filing. This AG goes back YEARS for a fine and restitution justification.
Step 3. The customer reaction
Obviously most businesses after reading this court filing will be furious that someone installed Dahua or Hikvision products into their precious business. As the AG eloquently points out, HAD THE CCTV COMPANY informed the customer before the sale, it is VERY likely that decision maker would have NOT AGREED to have those brands installed.
Step 4. Ask for restitution — then file if refused
Ask the customer/alleged victim to ask the seller for full restitution. If they refuse? EVERY state has a very quick and easy Atty General online complaint system. File a complaint based on the template this AG provided everyone. Make the AG's life easier. Upload a copy of the court filing for their convenience in their online portal. Takes 5 minutes if that.
Step 5. Install your replacement
Upon a likely full refund demanded by the authorities, install your replacement CCTV. Hopefully you'll consider G4-X Series: field proven in ALL climates. NO Govt bans, NO intentional backdoors. Competitively priced, powerful, and EASY intuitive app and VMS.
Lorex and the scale of the opportunity
Additionally? Lorex under same lawsuit allegations. Some estimate the combined market share of Dahua/Lorex/Hikvision made products are 70% of the USA market. Or at least were. Obviously that's come to an abrupt halt. Both Dahua USA and Lorex sold off to a couple Taiwanese companies. (OUCH).
Ideally? You win EVERY rip and replace bid. It's obviously free of charge to the end user if full restitution given. End user now gets brand new modern IPC/NVR, a fresh new warranty, and a passionate appreciation that because of your industry knowledge, you removed what law enforcement has labeled as Chinese Military Controlled Products, Intentional Backdoors allowing customer network intrusions, etc. High risk of organized crime accessing customer lists, vendors, financial data. Read the court filing, it'll be obvious to you. Maybe best of all? The previous installation company did the hard part. Ran all the network cabling.
An opportunity of this scale
We've been manufacturing/distributing CCTV for 27 years. NEVER in the history of CCTV has an opportunity of this scale occurred. Your cost? The ink/paper of printing out the court filings. That document truly will do the selling for you. FREE CCTV for your customers assuming restitution granted.
Not sure if it's Dahua or Hikvision?
IPVM provided this AG with KNOWN customs data using both manufacturers.
The movement is growing
The vast majority of end users and for that matter installers are unaware of this EPIC atty general level movement. That's changing. Mighty Fox News already covering this matter. G4 hosted a local area installer strategy session recently and we'll be hosting routinely. Installers that lost business to Dahua/Hikvision/Lorex bids want their restitution. THEY REFUSED to install Dahua or Hikvision equipment once the bans materialized. They're upset they followed the rules and got burned. The installers want an alliance of NON Dahua/Hik businesses to combine financial resources and purchase radio/tv/and major exposure billboard marketing.

GROW your business
GROW your business AND offer your community the security they deserve. Law enforcement words, top states lawyers words — those that engaged in selling Dahua and Hikvision made products WITHOUT advising customers are being accused of Fraud. This is serious. Let your customer decide. Give them a copy of these lawsuits. Takes 5–8 minutes to read the court filings.
Move fast. If the state fines are as high as the Texas AG is asking for — $10,000.00 per transaction? There might not be any money available for providing restitution to the end users.
Important: Every state has consumer protection laws, but legal outcomes depend on facts and jurisdiction.
